Cancer councils biggest morning tea is coming
Gerald has been busy firing and firing and firing. Painted tea cups for the Cancer councils biggest morning tea exhibition. Its next week so we had to get a wriggle on.

Looking into the kiln
doing bisque firing again and again
then gloss, stoneware, midfire, midfire, midfire. Going to be a busy week
Making some big corrugated leaves, rivet some cool metal supports....

the squashed finger happened when a drill piece broke.
Safety stuff always a good lesson.

got right back on that horse too
as G dressed the wound and put on a cut off rubber glove finger to keep it clean,
finished with his much wanted (and obviously needed) supervision and support sigh...

busy week in the studio
It's come to the end of Gerald's week in the studio.
I have made a couple of kiln loads of stone ware.
Some cups and a tea pot for the art of tea exhibition.
Gloss fired last of the "hibiscus range" the new earthenware range I am putting together
for this years markets.

no power, not so no work!
I did go to work, however with the power out all over Darwin today no can do day job. So I got to come home and have some fun in the studio instead. Lucky I had the bits and pieces all ready to go, as it was the only thing I could do whilst powerless.
Puttin together some little uns
and some big uns
and started on a couple of really big-uns-es, when the power came back
above is a satellite dish picked up this morn from the dump shop. Will make some ceramic bits to stick on and add colour, and perhaps some other bits that I have hidden in my lovely junk pile in the chook yard. This goes with that, goes with this, and so on and so on and so on...
Had these bits and pieces sitting (above) around for way too long.
Nice to get it together with some colour on and have them in the garden for a while.
Bits of brass, copper, ceramic with nuts and bolts galore. Just my cup of tea!

painting and stacking
Been having a painting frenzy of late
got to get making so I can have some social time in the very near future
(trips away, then friends a stayin)
We'll go from the top photos- bisque fire, then gloss fire -
to turn out like the bottom photos, all shiny and pretty
Put these on stems with leaves
It sure won't happen overnight, but it will happen.
